Grants and schemes
Help with the cost of solar changes often and depends on where you live and your circumstances, so we don't promise any grant. Check what's open to you before you sign anything, and be wary of anyone who says a grant is guaranteed.
Two things apply to most homes in Great Britain. The Smart Export Guarantee pays you for the power you send to the grid, and installed solar panels and batteries are zero-rated for VAT until 31 March 2027 (HMRC, VAT Notice 708/6).
